Couple kissing at Inn on Montford during their intimate wedding in Asheville, NC

If there’s one thing you should know about me, I’m a strong believer that your wedding should be 100% what YOU want.

Not what society, or social media, or even your friends and family want you to do. It’s no surprise that because of COVID, a lot more weddings have started to look like the one you’ll see below. But part of me things an intimate wedding is what most couples have wanted all along! Everything happens for a reason, right?

Jayme + John held their intimate wedding at the gorgeous 1900 Inn on Montford, located in Asheville, NC. They invited only their closest friends and family, and their dog Gus (so much love for dogs at weddings) and kept things lowkey - which is 100% them. Some would even say they were eloping for their wedding, but the lingo really doesn’t matter. You can make your wedding day or your elopement day whatever you want it to be, and that’s exactly they did. We had a first look, couples photos around the gorgeous property, a short traditional ceremony, family photos, and the cake cutting and champagne toast. And we packed it all in quicker than your next car oil change (kidding, Valvoline works super fast).

Not only do I hope this highlights Jayme + John’s special day, but I also hope it encourages you to pursue your intimate wedding goals. The day was magical and personal, and intentional, and arguably more enjoyable this way. May this Inn on Montford wedding be the first (or maybe the last!) bit of inspiration you need. And when you’re looking for a photographer for capture your special day, I’ll be here.
