Engaged couple sharing an intimate moment during their fall engagement session with asheville engagement photographer Nick Levine Photography

Fall is, without a doubt, the most popular season to have engagement photos in Asheville taken. So I decided to write this blog not only to give you some inspiration for engagement photo poses, and engagement photo locations near Asheville, but to convince you (please?) to have your photos done in the fall. I LOVE fall weather and the colors on the trees, which might be evident by the work I produce. But we’ll talk about that later.

Every year is a little bit different, as for when peak fall occurs. I know last year, I had to take off my Asheville engagement photographer hat, and put on my Asheville amateur meteorologist hat. But thanks to google, and our friends at Explore Asheville and AVLToday, there’s usually a good bit of information out there to help you plan a little bit ahead.

With all this being said, fall is overcrowded on the Blue Ridge Parkway, ESPECIALLY on weekends. This session was on a Sunday night in October and we saw maybe 5 other photogs at the same location doing the same thing. No lie. Also, if you don’t love the fall foliage colors, then plan your session for spring. I always stress seasonality when planning engagement sessions with my couples, because it’s not easy to make fall look like spring, or winter to look like summer. Seasons are the way they are, period. But more on that in my Engagement Session Tips blog post.

So enjoy the show below, and enjoy dreaming of fall. And when you’re ready to book your engagement photographer, let’s chat!
